How It Works
This tool calculates an adjusted pace by taking into account the elevation gain over your run. It uses a simple rule of thumb: for every 10 meters of elevation gain per kilometer, an additional 12 seconds is added to your pace. For example, if your course has an average elevation gain of 20 meters per kilometer, 24 seconds are added per kilometer to your flat pace.
When using the imperial system, your inputs are converted to metric for the calculation and the result is converted back to minutes per mile. The estimated finish time is then computed based on your adjusted pace and total distance.
